THE SURREY FILM-VIDEO FESTIVAL WAS HELD ON 17 MARCH 2002, in its twentieth year. It was one of our most successful of recent years, with 39 entries giving us nearly six hours of material to cram into 4 hours of show time.
The Festival was held at the Electric Theatre, in the county town of Guildford. This superbly equipped theatre, opened in 1997 in the heart of the town for the specific promotion of the arts generally, boasts comfortable raked seating for 180 people, with integrated bar and refreshment facilities. We were again being sponsored by Harpers AV of Woking who are kindly providing video projection equipment.

Thanks to all those entrants who have provided 39 entries. There were 18 Awards spread over 17 entrants and some facts and figures on the entries are listed below. All winners and selected others, were given a big-screen presentation, and every entrant received copies of the comments by each of an experienced panel of judges. There were no restrictions on the subject matter or running time of the entries.
