surrey film-video festival

The last in Ewell ... The Surrey Film-Video Festival 1996.

Another succesful festival for the last time at the Bourne Halls Ewell, held on 23 November, helped by the sponsorship of JVC(UK) Ltd. The expense of the hall meant moving next year to the new Electric Theatre in Guildford, which opens early in 1997.

As well as running most of the entries, including all the award winners, the organiser also showed a mini feature film made on 35mm with a west end release. This was 'Rooftop' made by a former Festival winner, Oomid Nooshin. It goes to show how succesful some of our past winners have become in their careers.
