After a brief excursion into the wider world of a pseudo national Festival, the Surrey reverted in 1990 to its roots and restricted itself to Surrey and SW London entrants again. It also returned to its original venue in the Surbiton Library Halls on 3 November 1990. This was as a result of popular demand for local film makers for a local festival.
Emphasis again is on the youth entry, with separate competitons now for adult and junior entries.
