surrey film-video festival

The Largest... The Surrey Film Festival 1988.

By 1988, the festival had grown to be the largest of the three in the south east region, largely because of its wide catchment area.

The festival, organised by John Morris and Martin Gammon of Circle 8 film Group, Two Tone Films and Kingston Movie Makers, was moved to the larger Bourne Hall in Ewell where it had two screening rooms, using both film and video projectors, for the large number of entries to be shown on the day, 12 November 1988.

The event was sponsored by Philips Consumer Electronics.

The regular donation of £100 was made to help finance the SERIAC magazine.
